シンガポールで公園や都市でもっともよく見られる種類の一種。しかし，Javan Mynaとの競合の影響で，近年減少傾向にあると言われている。

One of the commonest birds in Singapore, but has decilned in recent years, possisbly due to competition with Javan Myna.

 

日本にも沖縄諸島や千葉，埼玉などに移入した記録があるが，観賞用に飼育されていたものが逃げ出したか放されたと考えられている。世界の侵略的外来種ワースト100にも指定されている。
